A large Japanese polychrome painted pine sectional figure of a lady, Meiji period, modelled standing wearing a voluminous red robe decorated with prunus and leaping carp, on her left arm a cloth hinged to reveal a fitted compartment, her detachable head fitted with combs and pins, the face with finely lacquered detail and inlaid eyes, on a lacquered wood base, height approx 79cm (cracks to wood and lacquer).
