LOT 2100
An early 18th Century japanned trunk, decorated with gilt reserve panels of figures in landscapes supported by floral sprays and precious objects, all on a red ground, the hinged lid above three drawers with applied brass handle plates, the sides with drop handles, raised on bracket feet, height approx 63cm, width approx 110cm. Provenance: accompanied by a purchase receipt and letter, dated 1925, detailed 'Old red lacquer chest, formerly the property of Lord Nelson'.
