An early 19th Century needlework sampler by 'Eliz. Bell ... in the 10th year of her age', bearing 'GR' cypher, the bands of letters and numbers above a verse surrounding plants, birds and trees, all within a strawberry border, worked with coloured threads in various stitches, approx 43cm x 34cm, mounted on board and within a gilt frame.
