BINDINGS. - [William COMBE.] The Tour of Doctor Syntax, In Search of the Picturesque, A Poem. [N.p. but London: n.d. but circa 1815.] 1 vol. only (of 3), 8vo (229 x 138mm.) Hand-coloured decorative title, 29 hand-coloured plates. (Browning, spotting and offsetting, some worm damage, title-page lacking, 4 plates torn and repaired without loss.) 20th Century half-calf (extremities scuffed, endpapers replaced). Provenance: P. Cary (inscription to front pastedown dated 1947). - And forty-eight other volumes, the majority leather bound (49).
