HARTWIG, G. Heroes of the Polar World. London: Longmans, Green, and Co., 1892. 8vo (181 x 117mm.) (Light browning.) Contemporary calf, gilt armorial crests to covers, spine gilt in six compartments with raised bands, lettering piece to second compartment, others with repeat foliate decoration in gilt, gilt turn-ins (extremities rubbed and lightly scuffed, some minor soiling). Provenance: Sydney Buxton (presentation inscription dated 'Christmas 1894' to reverse of front-free endpaper).
