Colour frontispieces, 4 folding maps (1 bound at rear of each volume), numerous uncoloured illustrations. (Light browning, occasional minor soiling or damp staining.) Later cloth, spines gilt (pictorial wrappers bound at front and rear of vols. 1 & 4 respectively). Spence 26. Together with thirty-three issue wrappers for 'Roald Amundsens Opdagelsesreiser'. - And thirteen other volumes relating to Roald Amundsen. Provenance: The Michael Gilkes Collection (a quantity).
