Portrait frontispiece, numerous uncoloured plates, 1 folding map at rear. (Light browning, occasional minor spotting or soiling.) Original cloth blocked in silver (extremities lightly bumped and scuffed, some minor soiling and damp staining). Provenance: The Royal Cruising Club (bookplate to front pastedown). - And forty-eight other volumes relating to the Arctic (including: Gösta H. LILJEQUIST. 'High Latitudes, a History of Swedish Polar Travels and Research'. Stockholm: 1993). Provenance: The Michael Gilkes Collection (49).
