WILSON, James. A Voyage round the Coasts of Scotland and the Isles. Edinburgh: Adam and Charles Black, 1842. First edition, 2 vols., 8vo (190 x 111mm.) 2 engraved frontispieces, 19 engraved plates, illustrations. (Browning and spotting, occasional damp staining.) Contemporary half-calf, spine in six compartments with raised bands, gilt lettering pieces to second and fourth compartments (vol. I rebacked with old spine laid down, extremities bumped and scuffed). Provenance: Institute of Accountants and Actuaries, Glasgow (library bookplates to front pastedowns); The Michael Gilkes Collection.
