A Japanese ivory oval box and cover, Meiji period, the cover carved in high relief and applied with ivory and mother-of-pearl fruit and leaves, the sides carved in low relief with scattered mon enclosing flowers, waves and simulated brocade, with a gilt speckled lacquer base panel, height approx 9cm.
