[HOBHOUSE, John C.] 'Lord BROUGHTON'. Recollections of a Long Life… with Additional Extracts from his Private Diaries Edited by his Daughter Lady Dorchester. London: John Murray, 1909-1911. 6 vols., 4to (217 x 139mm.) Numerous portrait plates. (Light browning, occasional minor spotting, slight damp-staining to margins of preliminary blanks and frontispiece of vol. I.) Contemporary half-calf, by Bickers & Son, spines gilt in six compartments with raised bands, t.e.g. (extremities lightly bumped and scuffed, spines slightly faded, some minor damp-staining to cloth of vol. I). Provenance: 'Collie' (presentation inscriptions dated 1919 to front-free endpapers); Alex Bridge (bookplate to front-free endpaper of vol. I).
