Limited edition of 180 copies on antique paper, 2 vols., 4to (255 x 190mm.) 2 frontispieces, numerous facsimile plates. (Light browning and spotting.) Original cloth, t.e.g. (extremities lightly bumped, spines faded). Provenance: Coulson Kernahan (presentation inscription from the author to half-title); Alex Bridge (bookplate to front-free endpaper and inscription dated '26.4.1947' to front pastedown).
