                BRUCE, James. Travels to Discover the Source of the Nile. Dublin: printed by William Sleater, 1790-1791. First Dublin edition, 6 vols., 8vo (206 x 123mm.) 52 engraved plates (1 folding), 7 folding maps and plans. (Light browning and spotting, minor soiling to plate 37 in vol. VI, folding maps to vol. VI torn and neatly repaired without loss.) Contemporary mottled-calf (rebacked with red morocco lettering pieces, corners reinforced, extremities lightly bumped and scuffed). Provenance: J. Hackett (bookseller's labels to front pastedowns).
