LOT 353
A mid-19th Century American silver castle-top card case of shaped rectangular form with hinged cover, the front decorated in relief with a Gothic building framed by trees, above scallop shells, flowers and foliage, the reverse with flowers, scallop shells and scrolls, unmarked but probably by Leonard & Wilson of Philadelphia, length approx 9cm. Note: a similar card case depicting the same view, bearing maker's mark 'L & W', was sold by Toovey's on 20th February 2013.
