LOT 2724
A late 19th Century French gilt metal, ivory and wood inlaid jewellery casket by Alphonse Giroux and Ferdinand Duvinage, the hinged lid decorated with a bird perched on a branch between reeds and leaves, bearing incised monogram inscription 'FD Bte', the interior lined in blue buttoned silk, the lockplate inscribed 'Alph. Giroux Paris', height approx 11cm, width approx 22.5cm (some faults).
