LOT 2710
A 17th/18th century Armada type wrought iron chest, with typical elaborate locking mechanism, the hinged lid and front with overall strapwork and later foliate painted decoration, the front fitted with latches, clasps and a pair of padlocks flanking a central false lock plate, the sides with large swing handles, the interior with a pierced and engraved lock cover plate and a further lockable compartment, height 44cm, width 75cm, depth 44cm.
