An early Victorian needlework sampler by Caroline Filbey, dated 1857, the bands of letters and numbers above a verse, flanked by urns of flowers and butterflies, within a strawberry border, worked in coloured threads, 28.5cm x 30cm, within a bird's eye maple frame, together with a mid-19th century woolwork panel of a biblical scene, titled to the reverse 'The Tribute Money', 63cm x 68cm, within a gilt composition frame.
