A Japanese four-case lacquer inro by Koma Koryu, Edo period (19th century), of curved rectangular form, each side finely worked with gilt chrysanthemum on a gilt speckled dark brown ground, gilt signature to base, length 6.6cm, together with a carved hardwood netsuke in the form of clam shells with ivory inlaid detail, inlaid mother-of-pearl gourd shaped signature plaque, length 3.7cm.
