A Japanese Satsuma earthenware vase by Hozan, Meiji period, the shouldered tapering body painted and gilt with a scene of dancing maidens and musicians in a lakeside landscape, beneath a collar of simulated brocade panels and flared narrow neck filled with leaves and precious objects, black and gilt signature to base, height 11.7cm (minor wear to gilt rim), together with a wood box.
