(Light browning, some light damp-staining, occasional minor spotting particularly to half-title.) Contemporary mottled-calf, by F. Bedford, spine gilt in six compartments with raised bands, lettering pieces to the second and sixth, the others with repeat foliate decoration in gilt, gilt turn-ins, t.e.g. (extremities lightly scuffed, joints rubbed, head of spine bumped). Provenance: Edward Huth (armorial bookplate to front pastedown); John Harrison (ink inscription dated '1926' to preliminary blank); Alex Bridge (bookplate to front-free endpaper, ink inscription dated '5.5.1960' to reverse of front-free endpaper). Note: variant with binder's reference F as G to p.81. - And five others by or relating to Byron (6).
