TIERNEY, M.A. The History and Antiquities of the Castle and Town of Arundel; including the Biography of its Earls. London: G. & W. Nicol, 1834. 4to (275 x 202mm.) Engraved frontispiece, 6 engraved plates on India paper mounted (1 double-page), 15 in-text illustrations on India paper mounted, 5 double-page pedigrees. (Light browning, some spotting to plates, heavy spotting to frontispiece and title-page.) Contemporary morocco, spine in six compartments with raised bands, gilt turn-ins, lettered in the second and fourth, g.e. (extremities lightly scuffed, armorial bookplate to front pastedown). Provenance: Battersea Public Library (bookplate to front-free endpaper, library ink stamps to reverse of title and plates). - And one other volume relating to Arundel (G.W. EUSTACE. 'Arundel: Borough and Castle'. London: Robert Scott, 1922) (2).
