Numerous illustrations by John Tenniel. (Light browning, occasional minor spotting or soiling.) Original cloth, g.e. (extremities lightly bumped and scuffed, spine darkened, hinges split, stitching weak). - And one other volume by 'Lewis CARROLL' ('Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There… thirteenth thousand'. London: Macmillan and Co., 1872). Provenance: George James Cadell Hall (presentation inscriptions 'from his loving mother, for patient endurance of a long illness, 1872' to half-titles) (2).
