WATKINS PITCHFORD, D.J. (illustrator). BB's Fairy Book, Meeting Hill. London: Hollis & Carter, 1948. First edition, 4to (246 x 184mm.) Decorative title printed in blue and black, 15 colour plates. (Light browning, occasional minor soiling.) Original cloth blocked in silver (extremities bumped, fading of cloth to head of covers, slightly affected by damp), dust-jacket (browning and spotting, torn with loss). Provenance: 'David' (inscribed and dated 'To my dear David on his 6th Birthday from Grandpa, January 29th 1949' to front-free endpaper).
