CARY, John. Cary's New and Correct English Atlas. London: 1787. 4to (310 x 240mm.) Engraved title, engraved dedication, 47 engraved maps hand-coloured in outline. (Some light browning, spotting and offsetting, occasional minor soiling, margin of Devonshire map crudely opened, map of Rutlandshire torn and repaired without loss.) Contemporary speckled calf, spine gilt in six compartments with raised bands, lettering piece in the second, the others with repeat foliate decoration in gilt (extremities lightly bumped and scuffed, covers scuffed with some loss of leather, neat repairs to joints).
