STANFORD, Edward (publisher). Stanford's London Atlas of Universal Geography second edition. London: 1885. Large 4to (374 x 291mm.) 44 coloured maps, extra-illustrated with an uncoloured George Philip & Son map of Italy. (Light browning, occasional soiling, marginal tears without loss to map 6.) Contemporary half-morocco, g.e. (rebacked in modern cloth, extremities bumped and scuffed, slightly soiled). - And two other volumes, relating to maps and atlases. Provenance: all from the estate of the late Michael Gilkes FRCS, FRCOphth., FRGS (3).
