RAILWAY. The Railway Magazine. London: The Economic Printing and Publishing Company Limited., July 1897-December 1993. Vols. I-139, 8vo (various sizes, 238 x 160mm. and larger.) Numerous plates, maps and illustrations. (Light browning and occasional spotting, lacking a few plates, some others replaced in facsimile.) Various bindings, including some in original cloth (condition mixed). Together with a quantity of loose issues. Note: the family believe this to be near complete with only the GWR map lacking (the folding 'Map of Europe' is present at rear of vol. I but is torn without loss and repaired with adhesive tape with associated staining), any other missing plates have been replaced in facsimile. Provenance: from the estate of the late Michael Gilkes FRCS, FRCOphth., FRGS (a quantity).
