A silvered Royal Aeronautical Society circular medal, dated 1939, awarded to 'Major R.H. Mayo, O.B.E., M.A., Assoc.M.Inst.C.E., F.R.Ae.S. for his work leading to an advancement in aeronautical design', within its fitted case, two Kungliga Svenska Aeroklubben (KSAK) 1900-1950 medals, one silvered, one bronzed, and a French bronze A.I.R. award, cast with a central winged figure between a biplane and an airship, the reverse engraved with 'A.I.R. Paris MCMXXVII Major Mayo', in its fitted case. Provenance: from the estate of the late Major Robert Hobart Mayo, O.B.E., M.A. (Cantab), Assoc.M.Inst.C.E., F.R.Ae.S., M.Inst.T.
