CUVIER, [Georges]. The Animal Kingdom… Natural History of Animals, and an Introduction to Comparative Anatomy. London: G. Henderson, 1834. 7 vols. (including 3 plate volumes), 8vo (213 x 133mm.) Numerous hand-coloured plates. (Browning and spotting throughout, some offsetting, title and additional decorative title detached and loosely inserted to vol. III.) Contemporary cloth-backed boards, morocco lettering piece to spines (extremities bumped and scuffed, slightly soiled, spine of plate vol. I detached from lower-cover). Provenance: Arthur B. Rye (ownership stamp to front pastedowns).
