BINDINGS. - [Francois] LA ROCHEFOUCAULD. Maximes. London: Arthur L. Humphreys, 1912. 4to (160 x 118mm.) Title printed in red and black. Contemporary red morocco gilt, for Hatchards, the upper cover titled in gilt within fillet borders, the lower cover with similar fillet decoration, the spine in six compartments with raised bands, lettered in the second and dated in the sixth, the others with repeat decoration in gilt. Provenance: 1st Viscount Monsell of Evesham (bookplate to front pastedown). - And eleven others, all leather-bound (12).
