NICOLAS, Nicholas Harris. History of the Orders of Knighthood of the British Empire. London: William Pickering, 1842. 3 vols. only (of 4), 4to (361 x 265mm.) Frontispiece and additional decorative title to vol. I, 10 colour plates (only). (Light browning, occasional spotting or minor soiling.) Later half-morocco, g.e. (extremities bumped and scuffed, joints splitting). Provenance: Worthing Public Library (bookplate to front pastedowns, ink stamps to title and some leaves and plates).
