A Japanese Satsuma earthenware vase Ito Tozan, Meiji period, of stout ovoid form, finely painted and gilt with scattered bunches of cut and tied flowers, the neck with an irregular trailing collar filled with red chrysanthemum and green scrolling tendrils on a black ground, beneath a red key fret firm, black painted signature and impressed seal mark to base, height 34cm.
