A Chinese Imperial quality famille rose enamelled porcelain circular box and cover, probably Daoguang period, the fine orange peel surface superbly painted with butterflies amongst cut flowers and fruit and auspicious polychrome lingzhi, the underside with further butterflies amongst fruit and flowers, turquoise enamelled interior, iron red four character mark Shen de Tang Zhi (made for the Hall for the Cultivation of Virtue) to base, diameter 22cm.
