A 19th century Louis XV style kingwood and ebony parquetry veneered bureau de dame of bombé form with ormolu mounts, the fall flap revealing an interior fitted with a well, three drawers and a shelf, the serpentine frieze and sides raised on cabriole legs, height 90cm, width 68cm, depth 41cm. Provenance: from the estate of the late John Young (1927-2017).
