An Edwardian satinwood kidney shaped writing desk, with ebony and boxwood chequer stringing, the top inset with brown gilt-tooled leather above an arrangement of five drawers, on fluted tapering legs united by two 'X' frame stretchers, terminating in brass caps and castors, height 79cm, width 144cm, depth 73cm. Provenance: from the estate of the late John Young (1927-2017).
