A late George III satinwood writing screen, the fall front painted with an oval reserve panel depicting a classical maiden within painted stringing, hinged to reveal an inset leather writing surface and letter compartments, the twin block supports painted with lion masks and vines, raised on four cabriole legs, height 113cm, width 56cm (some faults). Provenance: from the estate of the late John Young (1927-2017).
