LOT 2045
A set of eight early/mid-19th century Lancashire 'Billinge' ash ladder back chairs, comprising a pair of carvers and six standard chairs, the shaped top rails and curved bars above rush seats, raised on turned legs, carver height 111cm, carver width 67cm. Note: this chair design has been attributed to the Billinge/Pemberton/Wigan area of Lancashire in 'The English Regional Chair' by Bernard D. Cotton, pages 386 and 387.
