A good 17th century carved boxwood snuff box, finely worked in the form of a shoe with overall armorial decoration, the sole decorated with a two-masted ship and dated 1639, the sliding lid with a bull's head, the sides and front with a stylized flower, bird, leaves and chevron reserve panels, length 10cm.
