DIPTERA. - Edward SAUNDERS. The Hymenoptera Aculeata of the British Islands. London: L. Reeve & Co., 1896. First edition, small 4to (258 x 154mm.) 54 lithographed plates, (51 hand-coloured). (Spotting to the preliminaries.) Original brown cloth with gilt vignette to upper cover and 'Illustrated edition' in gilt to the spine (mild bumping to extremities). Provenance: C.J. Kuypers (signature to front-free endpaper). - And three others on flies (4).
