TANSLEY, A.G. The British Islands and their Vegetation. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1939. First edition, signed in ink by the author to the half-title, small 4to (257 x 183mm.) Frontispiece, numerous photographic plates and illustrations. (Mild toning to text and slight spotting to fore-edge.) Original blue cloth (some fading to spine, bumped to extremities, the odd mark to lower cover). Note: also includes 2 a.l.s. and a postcard addressed to his friend, the artist L.J. Watson.
