London: T. Carnan, 1757. 8vo (164 x 100mm.) Engraved frontispiece. (Frontispiece and front-free endpaper loose, occasional spotting.) Contemporary calf gilt (rubbing to extremities, lacking lettering piece). Note: Christopher Smart was known as 'Mrs. Mary Midnight', the pseudonymous author of satirical pieces for the Midwife magazine.
