Edinburgh: David Douglas, 1895. 2 vols., first edition, 8vo (228 x 174mm.) 2 photographic titles with tissue-guards, 28 photogravure and lithographed plates, a folding linen-backed map at rear of vol. 2, a folding panorama. (Occasional spotting to preliminaries of vol. 2.) Original green cloth, t.e.g, integral book-marks, small stain to head of spine of vol. 1). - And twelve others on regional British fauna (including T.W. Gissing, 'Wakefield Fauna', 1876, first edition, 8vo). Note: T.W. Gissing was the brother of George Gissing the novelist (14).
