COMPUTING. Manchester University Computer, Inaugural Conference, July 1951. Bolton & London: Tillotsons (Bolton) Ltd., [dated 1951 in ink to title ]. First edition, 4to (280 x 215mm.) Illustrations throughout. (Occasional pencil annotations.) Original thin card covers (slightly faded). Provenance: Institute of Computer Science Library (inkstamp to cover and title); The Lyon Playfair Library, Imperial College (bookplate). Note: a scarce program for the conference which centred on the Ferranti Mark I computer, with contributions by Alan M. Turing, Professor F.C. Williams, Dr T. Kilburn, E.A. Newman, T.J. Ray, M.H.A. Newman, Dr J.C.P. Miller and others.
