GUYOT, Jules. De La Télégraphie de Jour et den Nuit. Paris: chez tous les Marchandes de Nouveautés, 1840. 8vo (204 x 125mm.) 3 folding lithographed plates at rear. (Minor light browning, folding plates torn at folds and sections now loosely inserted.) Later morocco-backed cloth, t.e.g. (extremities scuffed, upper cover detached). Provenance: 'A. M'r Brunel esq' (presumably either Isambard Kingdom Brunel or Sir Marc Isambard Brunel, presentation inscription signed by the author); Library of the Civil Institute of Engineers (inkstamp verso title, binding and bookplate obscured by:); The Lyon Playfair Library, Imperial College (bookplate, labels and inkstamps to front-free endpaper).
