NEWTON, Richard. The Grounds of the Complaint of the Principal of Hart-Hall… concerning the obstruction given to the incorporation of his society by Exeter College. London: G. Strahan, 1735. Folio (379 x 245mm.) Title with engraved vignette. (Some soiling.) 20th century brown cloth, gilt titling to spine. Note: concerns the change in status of Hart Hall to Hertford College, Oxford, in 1740. Halls were not deemed to have the same importance as colleges.
