A large Chinese export silk embroidered sectional panel, 19th century, the cream silk ground worked in coloured threads with a design of a central blossoming tree, the branches supporting a lantern and birdcage, with birds flying about and perched within, above two peacocks, other birds and flowers, within a border of further birds, flowers and trees, 230cm x 234cm (some faults).
