A Japanese lacquer cabinet, Edo period, on a later ebonized and gilt stand, the cabinet with engraved copper mounts, lock plate and drop handles, the pair of hinged doors, top and sides decorated with gilt flowers on a dark brown/black ground, the similarly decorated interior fitted with an arrangement of ten drawers, width 94.5cm, depth 52cm, height 81cm, the stand with block legs, total height 168cm (minor faults).
