A 17th century Continental silkwork and metal thread ecclesiastical panel, depicting an angel holding a cloth, possibly representing the Veil of Veronica and depicting the face of Jesus Christ, within a wide band of scrolling tendrils and flowerheads, all worked in coloured silks, silver and gilt thread and embellished with foil bands and sequins, 36cm x 32cm, later mounted within a gilded frame.
