LOT 320
An Edwardian silver trophy cup, the 'U' shaped body engraved with presentation inscription 'Amateur Boxing Association Championship Middle Weight won by E. Mann 25th March 1902', above a central girdle, flanked by a pair of scroll handles, on a domed circular foot, London 1901 by Charles Boyton, height 27.5cm. Note: Edward Mann won the Amateur Boxing Association (ABA) Middleweight title in 1900, 1902 and 1904, fighting out of the Lynn ABC Gym in South London, Britain's oldest continuing amateur boxing club, founded in 1892.
