An early Victorian silver Reward of Merit medal, one side engraved with a bee skep beneath 'Learn of Us', the reverse inscribed '1844 Reward of Merit presented by the Trustees of the School on the Foundation of Sir John Cass Knt to William Simmonds Aged 12 years. In the 7th Year of the Reign of Queen Victoria', London 1843, diameter 5.4cm.
