                A pair of Regency needlework samplers by sisters Eleanor and Mary Pagan of Whitehaven, daughters of Joseph and Eleanor Pagan, one dated 1811, the other indistinctly dated, both similarly worked with bands of verse between borders of strawberries, birds and animals, 53cm x 31cm, within later mahogany frames, together with another 19th century sampler by Harriet Nunn, 25cm x 21cm.
