KAVANAGH, Henry T. How I Won the Victoria Cross. London: Ward & Lock, 1860. First edition, 8vo (186 x 109mm.) Portrait frontispiece. (A tipped-in cutting from 'The Times, Letter to the Editor' written by the author on the front free endpaper.) Late 19th century red half-morocco, black lettering piece to the spine (rubbing to extremities, some soiling). Provenance: Robert Milnes-Crewe (bookplate to the front pastedown); The West Horsley Place Collection.
